What this template does

The Topo Gigio trend puts you into the Enzo Fernandez celebration: on the touchline of a packed stadium at night you salute the crowd, cup both hands behind your ears and puff out

What is the Topo Gigio Trend trend, and where did it start?

The gesture is older than the trend. On 8 April 2001, in a Boca Juniors vs River Plate derby, Juan Román Riquelme scored and stood still with his hands cupped behind his ears, as if he could not hear the crowd.

Photo requirements for Topo Gigio Trend

• From the waist up or full body, face clear and well lit. The clip ends on slow-motion close-ups of your face, so a sharp, front-facing photo matters most.
• Ears and hair uncovered. Your hands go behind your ears, so a cap, a hood or big headphones get in the way. No sunglasses.
• Wear what you want to celebrate in. The AI keeps the clothes from your photo: a suit, a dress or a hoodie is funnier on the touchline than a football kit.
• One person in the photo. In a group photo the AI can pick the wrong person.
• Never a footballer, a celebrity, a stranger or a child.

Troubleshooting Topo Gigio Trend

• What goes wrong — What to do
• --- — ---
• The face looks less like you in the close-ups — Use a sharp, front-facing photo in good light, with no cap or sunglasses, and run it again
• The hands go in front of the ears or touch the face — Hands near the head are hard for video models. Run it again; a photo with uncovered ears helps
